Let it Snow! but maybe a little less
Saturday we were planning on going to campus to study but then it started snowing so we decided to wait. Tyler wrote his paper and I slept (I wasn't feeling well) for several hours. In the meantime...it snowed. Tyler was pretty excited to get to use his tractor.
We thought that would be it for a while, but yesterday when we got home from school around 6pm, there was about five or six inches in our driveway. Tyler spent about two hours with the tractor, snow blower and shovels clearing it off. But as snow goes, by the time he had finished there was a good inch covering the whole driveway again. This morning we woke up to another half-foot or so of snow. This is the view from our bedroom window. You can see the pile of snow on the ledge of our patio.
All together it's probably about two feet of snow!

Our own Thanksgiving dinner
Last weekend we had our own little Thanksgiving dinner at our apartment with Tyler's old room-mates and some other friends. We cooked the turkey, and everybody brought something to contribute. We had everything, stuffing, potatoes, salad...the works. It turned out really well. We had a good time. And we still have turkey left over. Anyone want a turkey sandwich?
November
I haven't written anything new, sorry. November was busy. School was busy, then we had Craig's (my younger brother) wedding. I guess I didn't download the best picture, Marie and Alexis were hiding.
The next weekend was Thanksgiving so we were back in Logan. We forgot to take pictures that day, but it was really fun. We ended up having our Thanksgiving dinner at the church so we would have enough room for everyone. After dinner we played glow-in-the-dark Frisbee in the cultural hall. That was a blast too. It was Tyler's idea, and it was a hit, everyone who played loved it!
The next day we went Christmas tree hunting in Idaho with my family. We picked out a cute little tree that we would be able to fit in our car trunk. Our first Christmas tree! Isn't it cute?

Study, Study, Study
That's pretty much what we are up to these days. We get home from being in class all day and then we do more school work. I had a presentation in one of my classes this week, which Tyler helped me practice. It went really well, which is exciting. He has three tests (out of his five classes) this weekend, so studying is about the only thing he will be doing the next few days. He did really well on his last set of tests though so the studying must pay off.
Last weeks snow

What now?
In case you are wondering, my proposal meeting went really well. My project was approved with a few minor adjustments. It has been a lot of work up to this point but I still have a lot of work to do. I am pretty excited about it though. I am hoping to be ready to start the actual research by the beginning of the year.

My big news for this week is that I finally get to have my proposal meeting for my thesis project. That means that I get to start recruiting for my study, and get things moving forward. For those of you that may not know, I am doing a study about improving physical activity levels in LDS families. We are going to look at the affect Family Home Evening has on physical activity by using pedometers to measure before and after. I'll be looking for LDS families with at least two kids between six and 18 living at home. So if you know anyone who would be interested, or if your family is interested let me know. Otherwise, wish me luck!

Snow in the Mountains
With the oncoming snow this winter, we decided to give you a taste of what we will be using to remove it. And judging from the equipment, it is going to be an interesting year. Also, you can see that we got snow this last weekend and it is only the beginning of October. We will see what happens, but remember to pray for no more snow. (We have to out pray the skiers from Sundance.) =-)

Snow!
Sure enough we woke up this morning to see a little skiff of the white stuff covering the ground. I guess we also got a hint last night when we walked outside and about got trampled by the herd of elk that had set up camp in our front yard. They knew winter was coming!

we are married!
Well, now that we are married we figured we better make a blog. It just seems like a married thing to do. So here it is for your viewing enjoyment.
We now live in an awesome apartment in Sundance. We will post some pictures of it later on. If you want to know how we got such a sweet hook-up you will have to talk to Tyler.
Both of us are in school right now. Tyler has a killer schedule with some of the most difficult classes available. You know the basics: Organic Chemistry, Biology, Physiology and two upper division Spanish classes. He reads Spanish literature like a daemon (which might seem uncharacteristic of Tyler).
I am teaching again this semester, two volleyball classes and two racquetball classes. I am also taking Advanced Worksite Wellness, and working on getting my thesis proposed and underway.
So pretty much, life is great. We are enjoying the fall leaves while they last. The forecast calls for snow this weekend!
