We are doing well here in Houston. We had a "cold" front hit us so the temperatures have dropped into the 80s and it's been wonderful. We are getting excited for the Houston winter weather, you can't beat it.
Avery is growing up fast. She is two months old already! I don't know exactly how much she weighs but I know it is over 12 lbs. She is already wearing some of her 3 month clothes. She has a very strong neck and has rolled from front to back a few times. Here is a video of her for anyone who is interested. http://youtu.be/pogIzaE7lbY She is very good at sleeping in her car seat which means I can take her just about anywhere at just about any time. She is still figuring out the difference between night and day but we are managing. :) I take naps when she does.
Tyler is getting busy with school. He spends most of his time in clinic now which he is enjoying. He still has a few classes though and that means tests. He will also have his board exams at the end of this year, so he will be studying for those as well. In just a few months he is going to have to decide where he wants to do his externships next year, so he has a lot on his mind lately. He is a great dad and Avery is quite the daddy's girl.
I am enjoying my new job as a mom. I still have a lot to learn but so far it has been fun. I am actually getting better at cooking dinners which has been a good step for me. Avery and I go walking in the morning and I am getting back into shape. I am still a ways away from teaching Spin again though.
We went to San Antonio over Labor Day weekend for a wedding reception.
Avery was a champ and slept almost the whole three hour drive. While we were there we toured the Alamo and also checked out the San Antonio Riverwalk. We had a great time. That last picture is a sign for a creek we crossed on the way to San Antonio, it's called "woman hollering creek". We wanted to share but I didn't get the camera out quite fast enough.
